Explore the charming streets of Mariager and make a bargain in one of the many unique shops.

Is there a pedestrian street in Mariager? Not as such. Many of Mariager's shops and specialty shops are located around the city's many old streets.

The center of the town is Torvet, where some of the shops are located. Here you will find e.g. Jewelery designer Helga Winther, which has everything within jewelery in both gold, silver and diamonds. There are always good offers in the store and jewelery at reasonable prices. Jewelery designer Helga Winther has a home right next door The waffle maker, from which you can enjoy delicious homemade ice cream in freshly baked waffles all summer long. And when the waffles are baked, it can be smelled all over Torvet.

From Torvet, the trip can go up Fuglsangsgade, where The monastery basement lies. Explore the many antique and flea finds and take a look down into the old vaulted monastery cellar.

If you are into trinkets, jewellery, bags, paintings and other art, then you should stop by The Art Box on Kirkegade, where local artists exhibit and sell their art and handicrafts.

Next, you can stroll through the old museum yard, which is connected to the Mariager Museum opposite the gallery. On the other side of the museum yard you will find Egepladsen, which, in addition to the summer's weekly flea markets, is also home to a wine specialist.

From Egepladsen you can walk along Teglgade back towards Torvet, and turn left onto Østergade just after the bakery.
