Færgehagen beach and jetty, Mariager

Only a short walk from Mariager, you will find the quiet and wide Færgehagen Strand.

Færgehagen is a quiet and family-friendly beach by Mariager Fjord, where you can enjoy the water all year round. All access to the beach is on foot.

The beach has a solid and elegant all-year-round bathing bridge, which is approximately 51 meters out into the fjord. At the end of the bridge, the water depth is about 1,8 meters, making it ideal for both swimming and winter bathing. The bridge is built of durable materials and has a beautiful wooden deck and a round platform in the middle of the bridge, inspired by a historic Birgitta emblem. 

The area is ideal for both locals and visitors who want a peaceful swimming experience in scenic surroundings.

Parking

If you come by car, you can park at Mariager Harbor or in the car park at Mariager Kayak Club. From here you can walk along Ny Havnevej through Mariager Camping (but only until 22.00 p.m., when the site closes to guests from outside).

You can also choose to go via the gravel road Færgehagevej, which you will find on the other side of the veteran railway close to the bus terminal. 

When you arrive at Færgehaven, the lovely beach with jetty is free to use.
