Bies Gård in Hobro is a building with a long and exciting history - first as a brewery and now as a home for art and culture.

Bee's Farm is a historic building in the center of Hobro. The building has lots of history with, among other things, an old brewery, the art galleries etc.

A trip up through The artists is always an exciting experience. You will encounter art by some of Denmark's most recognized artists. And you can enjoy the architecture and atmosphere of the old brewery - not least on a day when the sun finds its way through the many small and large windows.

Hobro's old brewery closed in 1980. Since then, the entire complex with yeast cellars, wagon gates, warehouses, icehouse, brewhouse, garden and private residence has been preserved to preserve the old industrial environment, which, among other things, the architect Gottlieb Bindesbøll has left his mark.

It is still possible to perceive the original function of the house. The beamed room, which you enter from the library, housed the old horse stable - and men's room. Around the floors you can find old belt drives for machines and transporters. At the top, the brewery's large water tank stands close to one of the original silos for grain germination. And between the tap beams you find an almost artfully designed grinder, from which the grain was distributed through square wooden pipes.

Today, there is again a brewery and a restaurant in the buildings:
Bies Brewery and Restaurant Bies Bryghus.

There is free access to The artists through Hobro Library.
The art association organizes 6-8 exhibitions a year with leading Danish and foreign artists, but also with architects, designers and craftsmen.
