Visit
At the end of Mariager Fjord lies Hobro, the town with two harbors. On the south side of the fjord lies Hobro Boat and Fishing Harbor, with a maritime atmosphere, surrounded by the town's old and charming buildings.

On the south side of the fjord, surrounded by historic buildings, you will find one of Hobro's two harbors – Hobro Både- og Fiskerihavn. Here you can smell the fjord and tar, and the maritime atmosphere is almost palpable. The harbor is a natural meeting place, where both locals and visitors gather for a pleasant chat about everything and nothing. The hospitable environment is cherished here, where commercial and recreational fishermen, boaters and small boats share the space.

The port area is home to Denmark's oldest wooden shipyard, which has been building and maintaining ships since 1849.

As a guest sailor, you are welcome to freely use the harbor's facilities, including the clubhouse with lounge, kitchen, toilet and shower.

Close to experiences, nature and city life

Equipped in the city gas plant is GAS Museum, where you can follow the history of gas, from the first gas lamps to modern energy solutions. The harbor also has The pleasure craft museum, housed in a former warehouse, where you can experience old boats and the smell of wood and tar. Also don't miss Maritime Culture Center Mariagerfjord, which offers exciting exhibitions, including the skeleton of a stranded sei whale – and a wealth of activities throughout the year. The area offers wonderful nature experiences. A few kilometers east of the harbor is The oyster forest, where you can enjoy the view of the fjord among 100-year-old oak trees – an obvious destination for an excursion within walking distance.

You can also take the trip across the fjord to Bramslev Bakker, one of Hobro's most beautiful natural areas, with several marked hiking trails - including the famous Panorama route.

If you get hungry, lie down. Café K just a five-minute walk from the harbor. And if you need to do some shopping, you'll find the pedestrian street with shops, restaurants and cafés just 800 meters away.
