The Mythological Playground

Let the children loose at the Mythological Playground at Vikingemuseum Fyrkat, where through play and learning they can explore the world of the Vikings and learn about the Nordic gods.

The mythological playground and experience area in Viking Museum Fyrkat is unique of its kind in Denmark. It is an artistically very beautiful and imaginative sculpture, learning and experience space that, in an active and enlightening way, tells children of all ages about the old Nordic gods and their fantastic stories and beliefs.

You can become familiar with the history of the Nordic gods through the displayed boards and through the spoken stories in the "Teller's Cave". Here, a whole family or class can hear 10 of the great and very exciting Nordic myths together.
