The Red Warehouse in Hobro is a cultural center by the harbor that offers events and art experiences all year round.

The Red Warehouse in Hobro is a center for cultural experiences in the old market town. All year round there are various events in the old warehouse at the harbor in Hobro.

Several recurring events are housed in Det Røde Pakhus, including the annual art exhibition UGE33, the Fjord Festival and the former Organic Market in week 42.

In addition to the larger events, you can also experience rabbit exhibitions, smaller art exhibitions, fishing events and much more.

The Red Warehouse, with its rustic appearance – raw beams, high ceilings and the beautiful skylight – is an experience in itself.

Cultural experiences

The Red Warehouse is well located on Kulturkajen among several other cultural experiences. In the yellow warehouse right next to it you will find The pleasure craft museum and further down the quay you will find i.a. Maritime Culture center Mariagerfjord. At Hobro Harbor you can also satisfy your hunger at the cozy cafes and then you can go on a sailing trip with The paddle steamer Swan.

Tyrens Pakhus - in the old days

The warehouse was built in the 1930s by Det Danske Gødningskompagni, and functioned as a warehouse for grain and fertilizer until 1980. The building was for many years called Tyrens Pakhus, as the sulfuric acid logo was a bull's head.

After 1980, the building was open and was used, among other things, for parties and music. Later, Hobro Municipality bought the warehouse and restored it. It was here that it got the name The Red Warehouse.
