http://www.designarkivet.dkRud Thygesen was a renowned architect who designed many well-known furniture series, and who left his mark on Danish furniture design to that extent.
Rud Thygesen originates from Hobro, and therefore it was obvious that there should be an archive in the city which could show a selection of Rud Thygesen's many works.
The ARCHIVE shows drawings, models, photos, posters, certificates of honor as well as significant examples of finished products relating to furniture architecture and design, carried out by Rud Thygesen alone and together with his partner Johnny Sørensen.
In addition, there are changing exhibitions with other furniture architects and designers.
You will find the Rud Thygesen ARCHIVE in the pedestrian street in Hobro, close Bies Brewery. The ARCHIVE is actually set up in brewer Bie's old listed apartment, which is also a beautiful architectural gem in the small town.
